Requirements for Application
The James Family Continuing Education Foundation is working with Loudoun, Fairfax, and Prince William County High Schools to bring awareness to our scholarship fund for seniors who have experienced or are living in foster care.
High School seniors must:
- Currently be a resident of Loudoun County, Fairfax County, or Prince William County
- Have experience living in foster care
- Must be on track to meet the requirements for a high school diploma at the end of the current school year
- Have a grade point average that demonstrates on going academic success or demonstrates marked improvement
- Demonstrates that they are a responsible citizen
- Persevered despite significant hardships such as poverty, disability, severe physical or mental illness, abuse, homelessness, or personal tragedy
- Applicant receives or has received services from the Loudoun County Department of Social Services
